Six years ago, Stree crossed the ₹100 crore mark, and now Stree 2 is on track to hit ₹600 crore. After its impressive box office performance, Stree 2 even managed to surpass Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan.
Stree 2 Makes History on Day 27
On Monday, Stree 2 overtook Pathaan, claiming its spot as the second-highest-grossing film in India. By Day 26, the movie had earned ₹555.04 crore. On Tuesday, or Day 27, Rajkummar Rao’s film surpassed Animal. According to early trade reports from Sacnilk, Stree 2 earned an estimated ₹3 crore on Tuesday.
Stree Dominates Over Animal
So far, Stree 2 has achieved a lifetime collection of ₹558 crore, while Animal, released on December 1, 2023, had a lifetime collection of ₹556.36 crore (as per Bollywood Hungama). With this, Stree 2 has become the second-highest-grossing film. Now, the big question is whether Stree 2 will break the record held by Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan, which has a total collection of ₹643.87 crore. It will be quite a challenge for Stree 2 to reach this figure.
